Canada master’s eligibility for Bangladeshi students
Canadian graduate admission is assessed by each university and program. A Bangladesh degree can be considered, but the university determines equivalence, grades, prerequisite subjects and English requirements. A profile match is a shortlist, not an admission decision.
What does an official Bangladesh-specific rule look like?
UBC Graduate School publishes a Bangladesh page with master’s requirements and English-language guidance. It says applicants from institutions where English is not the primary language of instruction must provide an English test; even English-medium applicants can be asked for one by a graduate program. Use that page as an example of an institution’s own policy, not a rule for all Canada.
How do you check a particular program?
Read both the central graduate-school country requirements and the department’s program page. Confirm degree equivalence, subject prerequisites, grade calculation, supervisor or research expectations where relevant, test scores, documents and deadlines. Ask the admissions office how it treats your Bangladesh qualification if the published page is unclear.
What comes after admission?
A university admission decision and a study permit are separate. Check that the institution is designated and follow current IRCC instructions for the permit, financial support and any required attestation document.
Common questions
Does a CGPA alone determine eligibility?
No. Degree recognition, program preparation, English evidence and department requirements also matter. Universities may use different grading conversions.
Will a Canadian master’s offer guarantee a study permit?
No. IRCC decides the permit under its own current requirements.
