Scholarships for Bangladeshi students studying abroad

Scholarships exist, but eligibility, coverage and application routes differ. Start with the destination’s official scholarship directory and the university’s current funding page for your exact program. A scholarship listing is not an award or an admission offer.

Which official opportunities are worth checking?

The British Council lists GREAT Scholarships for eligible Bangladeshi postgraduate applicants in the 2026–27 academic year. EduCanada publishes international scholarship opportunities, including some short-term exchange schemes; those are not interchangeable with full-degree funding. Study Australia lists government, provider and regional options. For the USA, EducationUSA explains how to compare institutional aid and graduate assistantships.

How do you build a shortlist?

For every award, check nationality, course level, participating institution, intake, application route and deadline. Record whether the award covers tuition only, a fixed amount, living costs or other expenses. Read the current terms on the issuing body’s site before making a decision.

How do scholarships affect your budget?

Subtract only confirmed awards from your cost estimate. Some awards are paid after enrollment; others may have conditions or a limited duration. Check the institution and immigration authority’s rules for showing remaining funds.

Common questions

Is every scholarship open to students from Bangladesh?

No. Filter by citizenship and residence, course and institution. A general international scholarship page may list awards for other countries or only for short exchanges.

Should I apply to the university or the scholarship body?

Follow the award’s official instructions. The application route and deadline vary; some awards are nominated by the host university.
